Name: Johnny Philpot Jr.
Born: February 11, 1982
Place: Dallas, Texas
BIO: At the age of 8 years old Junior took to go-cart racing with his father. At age 13 his parents moved to Mesquite, Texas where he attended McDonald Middle School, but racing was put on hold for his football career. Injuries caused his football career to be short-lived.
In 2000 Johnny graduated high school from North Mesquite, and found himself in the working world. After spending the entire summer watching Dale Earnhart Sr, he was motivated to start racing again.
After only four years in the local scene, Junior won the Street Stock Championship title at Devils Bowl Speedway in 2006. Junior plans to move up the ranks to reach his dream of one day racing in NASCAR. Although NASCAR is a highly competitive sport, Johnny still keeps reaching towards his dream one week at a time.
With the 2007 season underway, Johnny is looking forward to another great year. Stop by the Devil’s Bowl Speedway every Saturday night to see Johnny head for victory lane !
